Christian Education is available through Sunday School classes beginning at age three through 12th Grade at 9:40 a.m. every Sunday. Adults Bible Study begins at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. The Christmas program is given the last Sunday before Christmas.

One of the most fulfilling ministries you can have is confirmation ministry. At Bethel, we feel that this particular ministry deserves our creative best. We have found that if our confirmation program includes:

We provide confirmation starting in the fifth grade with early Communion. The 3 year program then begins in the 6th grade running to the 8th grade. By 9th grade, they are interested in Senior League, Bible studies and activities. We provide Confirmation Camp for a week after their 7th grade year at Carol Joy Holling Camp near Ashland, NE. By their 9th grade year they will have memorized lots of scripture, Luther's Small Catechism, done sermon notes and participated several times in the acolyte program.

The childred learn bible verses and earn WING DINGS. These may be spent at the 'store' monthly. They also cycle thru music and recreation. The 5th graders spend the second half of the year in the All-Stars program. Darrell Wissman leads this program designed to help them say no to drugs, alcohol, and premarital sex.

Themes For Threes
Themes for Threes is a program designed for children who have reached the age of three by September 15th. The children will work on socialization skills, using scissors, writing their name and name recognition. They will learn their colors and shapes. They also do craft projects, finger plays, & read and act out stories. They also learn the days of the week and dress Mr. Weather Bear. Class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuition for Themes for Threes is $70 per month.
Fun For Fours
Fun for Fours is a program designed for children who have reached the age of four by October 15th. Children will learn to write their alphabet and numbers. They do craft projects, finger plays, theme stories, theme songs & bible stories. They will learn the Pledge of Allegiance, months of the year, & days of the week. They will also have field trips. Class will be held on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Tuition for Fun for Fours is $70/for 2 days $80/for 3 days per month.
Stepping Stones
This is a more advanced program designed for children who will be going to Kindergarten the next year. To enroll in this class they may be 4 or 5 years old, but it is requested they reach the age of 5 by January 1st of the following year. The same principles are taught in this class as in the Fun for Fours with the addition of early Spanish, basic computer knowledge and more field trips. Class meets Monday Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday. Tuition for Stepping Stones is $80/ for 3 days $90/ for 4 days per month.
Church Camp
Our Church Camp is located at Camp Carol Joy Holling in Ashland, NE and the congregation provides camper ships for each youth attending. |  |
Friday we learned that "God is in charge. Every part of the day was focused on these points. Each child was given a Bible Buddy, which had the Bible verse of the day printed on it, each day. Those who pre-registered received a T-shirt and each family received a CD with the songs that went along with the theme.
This all could not have been done without the help of many, many, many volunteers. Some people donated money and supplies, some helped recruit personnel, some helped with technology and computer skills, some taught, some were crew leaders, some helped out where ever they were needed. It was awesome, the support we received.
